Women in Sao Paulo, Brazil give out 6,000 meals a day

Updated: May 13, 2020

With Covid-19, situations are worsening everywhere. One place where people are being affected really badly is Sao Paulo, a city in Brazil. For some people, food was scarce and hand sanitizer was unavailable. One day, some women decided this was wrong. They formed a small group at first, which expanded (now they have 6,000!) rapidly. They cycled around all areas of Sao Paulo and sprayed people with hand sanitizer and gave them meals that they had prepared. This has been helping the poorer population of Sao Paulo which means that they have food they can rely on. Thanks to this amazing bunch of women, 6,000 people more in Sao Paulo are getting the food they need in this life-threatening time of danger.
