Thank you for the Nanu

This is a one-verse song my sister, Anaia, my mother and I composed in a car trip back to Geethanjili, in India where my grandparents on my mother's side live for my Nanu's (mum's father) birthday. It is to the tune of "Thank you for the music" by Abba but instead, it is called "Thank you for the Nanu".

Thank you for the Nanu,

All the joy he's bringing,

And for all the mangoes and the chickus*, *chickus are a sweet fruit native to India

Who could live without him,

I ask in all honesty,

What would life be?

Without a song or a dance what are we?...

...So I say

Thank you for the Nanu,

For giving him to me.
